Why Do People Overeat?


Why do people overeat? Some believe it's lack of discipline or self control. In some cases that is true, but I think the REAL reason is the lack of nutrition.

Your body needs FOOD. It needs real, raw, organic, whole foods. When your body gets what it needs, there are no hunger pains. The reason so many of us are always hungry, yet overweight is because we are eating EMPTY chemical laden "foods." The "food" we are eating is not nutritious, so the body is not getting what it needs and it signals, "I am still hungry!" And we keep eating MORE of the same stuff that keeps them in starvation mode. It's crazy, but think about it. Empty calories are keeping us hungry and making us fat!

I recommend raw, healthy, organic, whole foods. They are easy to get and good for you. You will eat less because your body will be satisfied with what you are putting into it.

Reasons for Weight Gain & Loss


How do people become overweight? How do people lose weight? The answer: One small consistent decision at a time!

I personally have lost up to 80 lbs. How did I do it? I made slight consistent decisions over time that added up to massive results. After losing that weight, people that I hadn't seen for a year didn’t recognize me. They were amazed! They saw the results and wondered how I did it. They were probably hoping that I took some magic pill or drink that produced rapid results. However that was not the case. It took me one year of making small consistent decisions that added up to that weight loss. I lost weight 1 once at a time over a long period of time.

Conversely, I gained all that weight back! How, by the same process: Bad decisions made consistently over a long period of time. It was just that extra helping. It was only an extra scoop of ice cream, that extra cookie. One slight consistent difference over a long period of time caused me to gain back those 80 lbs. It took me two years of little (BAD) decisions to gain all that weight back. It didn’t happen overnight. It happened because of consistent “little” bad decision over time. Would it have happened if I occasionally ate a dozen cookies? The answer is no. It’s those little subtle decisions that we make CONSITENTLY over a long period of time that do us in (repetition is the mother of learning :-))

So what is the true secret of weight loss? Decide! Make a decision and make little (good) decisions. Those little decisions we make consistently will add up to the weight loss you desire. I would add the need to get educated about food as well. Knowledge is power. Acting on that knowledge is awesome power! Learn what foods make you fat and what foods help to burn fat. Learn how to eat real food, raw, healthy, organic food that your body wants and needs. As a result you will eat what your body needs (more on that in another post) and lose weight doing so.
